I haven’t posted on my blog for about a month. I was so busy setting up my GoFundMe page to help get my book “Redemption Has 4 Paws” published and trying to stay on top of all the thank-you’s owed to all of you who have contributed. You all rock and I’m so thankful for all of you!
The book has been through the second editing phase and will be finished with the editing part within a week. Then on to typesetting, cover and back design and where do I want the pictures placed. This is all so new to me and I’m learning a lot during the whole process. So far Covenant Books has been a dream to work with. I’m so anxious to get the word out about all of my precious dogs but especially my 3 “deafies” who are all registered therapy dogs and are doing wonderful work visiting people.
I’ve also been taking some online seminars and talks about getting my book out to the public and landing a spot on a national TV show. That would be my ultimate goal to get on Dr. Phil, Rachel Ray or Ellen but in the meantime I will try to get on the local Katie K-9 radio show and maybe advance to the Jason Show, a local talk show here in the Twin Cities. From there who knows? Maybe my goal of being on a national talk show will pan out! I’m definitely working on it.
In the meantime the dogs and I are making therapy visits around our area, I’ve been giving talks to small groups about my book and the wonderful work of therapy dogs and attending rescue events with my rescue dogs to help out both the MN Sheltie Rescue and the Minnesota Wisconsin Collie Rescue. My summer is quickly filling up with various dog events. Taking a vacation away from home is just not an option at this point. But I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Thanks again to all of you who have contributed to getting Redemption Has 4 Paws published. My heart feels as if it could burst from all the generous people in my life. I am so lucky to have all of you in my life. Just as I feel so blessed to have these precious 4-legged furkids! I’ll try to update you more often of the progress of the book and get back to publishing some blog posts! Thanks for your patience!
Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend and be sure to keep your dogs safe from firecrackers and fireworks. More dogs go missing during this holiday because of their fear of the noise. God Bless You All!
