It’s been over 3 years now that my dogs have gotten me up at 4:00 every morning to go outside (and they also want to eat breakfast). Because I get up so early, I find that I’m going to bed at 8:00 in the evening–even in summer. I haven’t had a full nights sleep in quite a few years.
This morning when I got up, I decided that I was done having my sleep interrupted. I need to get a full night’s sleep for once. And I’m tired of picking up dog hair off the floor, off the furniture and off my bed covers. I’m done.
So I’ve decided to turn both collies and all four Shelties into rescue. They are fairly sweet dogs (other than getting up at 4:00 every morning and barking too much and shedding too much) and I’m fairly confident they will find a new and better home with someone who doesn’t mind getting up with the chickens. I’m done!
Of course this means that I won’t be able to fulfill on my life’s purpose of making therapy visits. But what the heck, I’l find another purpose for my life. So I’ll be discontinuing the blog, I won’t be trying to promote my book “Redemption Has 4 Paws” and I won’t be posting dog pictures any more. Ooh, it feels good to be free!
Thank you loyal friends for following this blog. I’ve really appreciated it. But it’s time to move on! I’ll let you know what my new life’s purpose is once I’ve figured it out! Be sure to check your local rescue for pictures of the dogs once they are available for adoption! Have a great day!
